ChurchCenter iPhone App Demo

Hello, this is Jeremy and I am going to quickly demo the ChurchCenter iPhone App, which is an extension of the NewChurchCenter.com web service.  Quite simply, the Church Center iPhone App allows anyone to quickly locate Church services or events in the upcoming week.  And I am going to show a quick demonstration of what that means.

Here's the opening page of the application which I suggest you read once you have download the app.  And you will immediately see the navigation at the bottom.  We have GPS search, Zip search, and settings.  For this demonstration I am going to choose the Zip Search.

So NewChurchCenter.com has a growing database of church services in your local area.  The ChurchCenter app simply allows you to access the church service details while out and about.  Let's say for example, you are looking for a Seventh-day Adventist service in the area to attend this weekend.  Simply enter your zip code, select the proximity, 10 miles usually works well, and then click Search.  The resulting page lists the current Seventh-day Adventist church services listed at New Church Center for this week.

Lets say we are interested in this service.  Simply click to get more information on Title, Speaker, Date, Time, and Location.  In addition, you can see these buttons at the bottom entitled Service Description and Driving Directions.  Clicking the service description button opens an additional page with more bulletin-like details delivered from the Church.

To get driving directions, simply use the handy driving directions feature to automatically generate your custom route from your location.

Here's an especially fun feature.  This Share button at the top right allows you to quickly inform your friends of this church service.  So with a few clicks of the button, you can create a message to post on your Facebook wall announcing this service to your friends and even write  quick invitation note.

Click Publish and your message will instantly be visible on your facebook profile page.

The Church Center iPhone App is free for anyone to download.  So simply to go your App Store and search for Church Center.  And start taking advantage of this great new way to keep connected with local church services.

With the release of the new ChurchCenter iPhone application, a new set of churches are finding the value in connecting with their users each week by simply having their users read their church announcements on the phone.  In particular, New Church Center has received a great number of Seventh-day Adventist Church Services getting listed with the New Church Center site.  Upon getting listed, they have directed their audience to make sure they download the ChurchCenter app to quickly view the week's worship service details.  In particular, the Adventist churches are finding that they can include many of the week's bulletin announcements to quickly have them visible to their user's through phone, online, and email.
